Red Arrows and NOTAMS ... again

Attended Day 2 of the Yorkshire Airshow at Elvington yesterday (Aug
21st)
Once again the Arrows had to shorten their display ... indeed it seemed
at one point that they'd never make it in ... we could see them each
time they came to the nearest point of their circumnavigations of the
northern part of the Yorkshire Wolds but each time they'd bend round
and head off towards Flamborough again.
Reportedly there were "several" strays inside the restricted area, and
a "clutch" of gliders to the west (again, inside the zone.)
Humberside and Leeds/Bradford radars reportedly did their best to act
as additional spotters, and the organisers were apparently busy on the
phones to anyone at any flying club / small airfield to contact "their"
aircraft and get them down and / or out.
Eventually it was deemed safe enough to proceed and the Arrows came in,
but by now they were said to be running low on fuel (they'd already
displayed at Cottesmore (?) as well as touring the Wolds) and thus we
the audience were treated only to the first parts of the 2005 display -
which was still very nice, especially on such a perfect day and seen
from such a perfect location as Elvington.
I dunno ... is it only in the vicinity of York that the Arrows seem to
have to run into this sort of problem ?
