Yeah, there's a lot of difference - for pilots they want more functionality,
an aviation database (=cost), and there's less of a market. All this adds up
to a greater cost spread over fewer units which increases the cost
significantly.
In terms of numbers, I wouldn't be overly surprised if something like TomTom
Go sells more units (for road use) than there are private planes in the UK !
