FWIW Although uk.rec.audio does suffer from bursts of 'noise', there is
still scope to chat and for people to ask/answer questions, and to try and
help one another. In that respect it seems much the same as other usenet
groups. So I'd say the advice was the usual: Don't feed the trolls, and
choose who you wish to engage in conversation with. :-)

Although I do have some old devices, afraid I don't have any of the ones
you mention. FWIW I'd love to find some 2SD753/2SA723's. Alas, people
seemed to run out of stock of these some years ago.
