I remember - I suspect the V15 thing was some sort of basic
incompatibility with the arm. I'd never heard one sound that way
before.

???

I forget which deck I wa using for those comparisons - might have been the
SL1210....

The M75ED2 is a good cart, though.

Yep. A good all-rounder for most 'modern music'!!

Looks just like mine! (my OC9, that is)

It's sounding absolutely fine - very 'full bodied'!! I wonder what the
difference is? The seller has said this in an email exchange this morning:

"I am glad to hear that the cartridge checks out ok, I upgraded to an
AT-OC9ml (via a Dynavector DV20XL) on the strength of this cartridge and
to
be honest the OC-5 is not a million miles, sound wise from the OC9."

??

I told him there's two ways to get a stubborn platter off: 1) pull
upwards
on the platter and get someone to rap the spindle smartly wiv a stick, 2)
put the whole thing in the post.....

;-)

With luck he will have wrapped some gaffer tape round to stop the
platter shifting in the post.

He said he had 'prevented it from moving about' (or somesuch) - probably
whanged a 4 inch cut nail through it!! :-)

That would do it!
