Keith, we've been wanting you to get a SS amp in the worst way, so you
got
a SS amp - in the worst way. :-(

What's wrong with it? Seems to do the job, and didn't cost much.

Tell him Pinkus - the dozy old bugger hasn't twigged this *digital
everything*/computer quality amp isn't much more than a soundcard in its own
case with a PSU, a few more inputs and probably a single chip amplifier!
(Class D??? - Probably not....)

<snip sales pitch where I forgot to say that it's *silver* which mean I can
actually *see* the sodding buttons for a change and has a remote control
which will be dead handy for an amp 10 inches from my fingertips!!>

Where have I gone wrong?

I can't see that you have.

Hopefully not, but you never can tell this when you this close to the bottom
of the pond....

Tell me summat. The (outrageous) little speakers it's feeding are stubborn
little barsterds at only 82 dB and the volume display**

http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/show/display.JPG

reads -10 dB for *loud* - does this matter, being SS an' all...??

(Fit were valves you'd think you were out of the optimum operating range....
;-)

Plenty of mugs on ebay, mon brave! :-)

Ah, oops....

Swims bath oils and my AT-OC5 turned up this morning (fabulous condition,
c/w fixings, screwdriver, brush etc), now I'm sweating on a Technics DD deck
where I *know* the seller hasn't removed the sodding platter (like I asked)
and a*mint* (?) Technics AM/FM tuner.....

**Cyrus II owners eat yer hearts out!! :-P
