Hi,
I've been trying to upgrade from my old broken arcam delta 290 amp. I've extensively auditioned both a Roksan Kandy III amp and a Cyrus 8vs.
I found: - the roksan kandy became tiring after a while; especially the treble. The overall sound can get a bit too aggressive. - the Cyrus seems more realistic. The treble is more open but the bass/midrange is too "dry", lacking warmth. Sounds fantastic with acoustic music though.
I've also heard other amps in dealers (rega mira, rotel 1062, naim nait 5 and 5i).
Has anyone any suggestions for an integrated amp that combines the best of both; the warmth/presence of the kandy with the refinement of the cyrus ?
Thanks, Ian
I have an ONKYO 922 driving ESL63's with very good results. .
