If you're still talking about the aerial input on my Cambridge Audio
combined FM/DAB tuner, then yes, it appears to be balanced. The connector
is what I think is called an "F connector", a screw threaded co-axial
socket as used on satellite receivers and American TV sets. They supply a
short adaptor cable with a Belling-Lee plug at the other end, so plugging
my existing aerial downlead into it only reqired a back-to-back Belling-Lee
barrel adaptor. The co-axial connector is the only aerial connector. There
are no alternative screw terminals for balanced feeders to an internal
balun as some FM tuners have.

The figure-eight flex that forms the crude indoor aerial supplied with the
tuner enters the plug through a bit of moulded plastic that doesn't look
substantial enough to include a balun transformer, so I suppose it doesn't,
though as I don't use this wonderful contraption, I don't really care.
