What is more worrying is not that the modern style of 'journalism' (trading
on conjecture and speculation) exists, but that they obviously think they
might actually be responding to modern-day needs....??
I for one am entirely sick of pokey journalists trying to provoke
controversy out of everything and *creating news* these days! When the
newsreaders go into the 'asking the reporters what do they *think*?' routine
I wonder if I'm the only one put off by it?
This is part of a direct email I have received from a 'lurker' here and my
response to it:

XXXX, I'm going to quote you on the group - anonymously and suitably edited
of course!!
All this news hype is disgusting - it's 'unEnglish' and exactly what the
terrorists want!!
Keith.

Says everything I'm trying to convey - the TV newshounds are making us all
look like tits!!
So are the piss-useless, dozy 'senior police spokesmen' trying to justify
their huge salaries with their pathetic public announcements when they
obviously know ***-all and couldn't stop a terrorist with a bomb in each
hand (and his *** hanging out) from wandering through Buckingham
Palace....!!
