The 'Royal Barge' looked as if it had been designed on the back of a
fag packet by an office junior at Disney Studios. In fact the whole
'event', despite the commentaters' repeated assurances as to how
wonderful it all was, failed to impress. Perhaps the Almighty sent the
rain to cover the tawdriness of it all.
