Just so. There was a debate emerging about the UK being higher on the
squeamish stakes than elsewhere. I thought it worth pointing out the
extent to which the BBC sometimes goes to "denastify" the reality of
what it reports. Elements of its viewing audience will on occasion be
oblivious to this and subsequently react adversely on those occasions
when they are not "spared" the reality to the same extent. This was by
no means meant to be interpreted that we should all be spending our
leisure time watching snuff movies.
