Does anyone know why advance tickets are not yet on sale for the
London-Manchester route for the early May bank holiday weekend, or
have any idea when they will go on sale? They appear to be available
for a couple of weeks after this date, just not this weekend.

As far as I can see from Virgin's website, there are engineering works
between Stafford and Wolverhampton but that shouldn't affect London-
Manchester trains. Is a bigger blockade being planned?

Thanks

They should be up because NR is committed to delivering a T-12 (week)
timetable. It is just possible that whilst the timetable has been
agreed there is some clarification about stock being used and possibly
the Chiltern Blockbusters will be running at some point and the
decision about 10-car or 15-car 221s hasn't been made yet. However
I'll ask the question on Monday.

A similar situation applies around the late Spring Bank Holiday also
where no advance tickets are yet available on the Friday or over the
weekend out of Euston. What work is planned for that weekend?
