Re: More WCML Problems

My other half is travelling to Euston tonight on the 1510 ex Glasgow,
due 2026. It is now 2026 and the train has just left Warrington
having been held there for over 2 hours due to "signalling problems at
Acton Bridge".

So what's gone wrong this time?

I wonder if it's a cable theft.

"Passengers may travel on Arriva Trains Wales services on all reasonable routes" says National Rail.

Who would that help? Presumably the idea is that
people bail out at Crewe, catch a train to Chester,
then a Manchester service to Warrington. Or maybe
Merseyrail might allow travel Chester - Liverpool.

Now, if only Manchester to Parkside was electrified,
they could easily divert trains around the problem...
