"Passengers may travel on Arriva Trains Wales services on all reasonable routes" says National Rail.
Who would that help? Presumably the idea is that
people bail out at Crewe, catch a train to Chester,
then a Manchester service to Warrington. Or maybe
Merseyrail might allow travel Chester - Liverpool.
Now, if only Manchester to Parkside was electrified,
they could easily divert trains around the problem...
