Has anyone here actually particpated in the "Grip" process
Now I know why Network Rail currently costs seven times as much as BR
did to run!
I was always firmly in the Peter Rayner - Ops Managers and not
Engineers should run railways - but until you see this system
"inaction" you ain't seen nothing!
Of course it comes with a "manual" so everyone has to comply - and
check compliance.
Meantime nothing happens and the bills double.
What's needed - a west to north junction at Todmorden, either double
tracked or with slips, a few singal lamps, and the odd car parking
space or three. Only on NR, chaps, could that add up to £8 or even £4m
.
