From one Bill to another, it was an augmented Sub (i.e. a pre-war 3 Subwith an added trailer, probably a (then) modern all-steel one as used in
the post war subs.
From the picture, the motor coach looks like it's from one of the unitsbuilt by the SR (of which there were just 55).
Somebody with access to more detailed records than me may be able to
give absolute chapter and verse.
What I'd like to know it what it's doing at Littlehampton, as this is
far from its normal haunts.
