3.30pm from St Pancras, Thursday (is that a busy day?) 4 car Meridian,
full and standing. I was sat very near the front having got to the train
about 10 minutes before departure. A couple of dozen people walked past me
looking for seats, only to immediately come forlornly back when faced with
the final vestibule. Later in the journey the cycle storage area was
unlocked and a few people stood and sat in that (is it allowed??)
including one blind man who was met at Loughborough by station staff.
AFAIA that part of the train is considered to be the crumple zone and the
only person that should be ahead of that area is the driver!
