What am I missing here? What kind of traffic does the Bluebell expect
to
generate after 10 at *night*? I'm guessing it is to do with their
evening
dinner service but will it really affect their viability if they have to
get
people back to EG by 2200?

Well would you go to a restaurant that chucked you out at 10pm and
what about if they decided to open a bar/pub on the station (chucking
out time at 10pm????)

In any case, there's also such things as enthusiast all night theme
days (sorry nights), night time photography sessions (very popular
amongst the camera fiends) and, of course, the very lucrative TV and
Film company work which can often take place at night (overnight).

There might even be the odd through freight working (assuming they
will be reconnecting to the main line - who knows) or even main line
test trains (think Great Central).

Finally there's the corporate and private charter market, again 10pm
is very restrictive and remember that's the deadline for all activity
i.e. off load the passengers by say 9:30pm to allow time to run round
and depart with empty stock and lock up the station for the night.

All valid comments but they'll still have the existing stations so they can
start from (say) HK, run up to EG and then stay within the existing
confines.
and finish whatever time they like. Apart from night photo sessions in
the middle of the summer I don't see that as a particular issue.
