FGW customer services can't tell me (at 9.20am today) if the 10.30

engineerign works nr Pangbourne. Is there any way I can find out, and

in Oxford, and can get an earlier train if he had this information.
This journey doesn't work. The 1030 from Bristol doesn't get to Didcot
until 1128, so can't connect with the 1043.

I hope that wasn't an Oxford entrance interview the OP's son missed.

ISTR they are held around this time of year.

Likewise. Though many colleges normally have their interviewees up for
an overnight stay prior to an interview, so I'm told.
