Anything to do with building/civil engineering seems to be expensive in this
country. Mind you, they'll have had to factor in the cost of a heavy 24/7
security presence, otherwise the track will be going for a walk every
night...


The best way would be to electrify it at 25kV. Install OHLE and earth
it. Put 25kV through the rails instead.

Result: no more thefts, after one failed attempt.
