Lomdon Termini - Platform Numbering
Further to the recent thread on this subject - I found another photo of Broad
Street and it confirms that the platforms were numbered 1-5 from right to
left. The definitive list, with Marylebone also corrected, is now:
Viewed from (concourse where present) lower number to higher, as below:-
ER Fenchurch Street: Right to left, facing east
ER King's Cross: Right to left, facing north
ER Liverpool Street: Left to right, facing northeast
ER/LMR/LT Moorgate: Right to left, facing west
LMR Broad Street: Right to left, facing north. Leftmost is Plat. 5.
LMR Euston: Right to left, facing north
LMR St Pancras: Left to right, facing north (plats 2-7) [Where was 1?]
SR Blackfriars: Left to right, facing south
SR Cannon Street: Left to right, facing south
SR Charing Cross: Left to right, facing south
SR Holborn Viaduct: Left to right, facing south
SR Victoria: Left to right, facing south
SR Waterloo (Main): Left to right, facing south
SR Waterloo East: Left to right, facing east (A to D) **
WR Marylebone: Right to left, facing north
WR Paddington: Left to right, facing west
** Included as it's part of Waterloo.
My BAHN simulation of London (including Underground) is at:
<http://homepages.enterprise.net/iainlogan/bahn/nets.html>. Corrections will
follow once I am able to confirm that the electrified track at Platform 1 of
Broad Street was still extant at mid-late 1980.
All the best,
Iain
