The post you replied to stated that Crossrail would have come to its
senses and extended to Reading, thus making ALL passenger trains on the
relief lines between Paddington and Reading electric as opposed to
diesel, which would be confined to West Ealing-Greenford,
Slough-Windsor, Maidenhead-Marlow, and Twyford-Henley. Electrification
of the Greenford loop for stock rotation and maintenance purposes might
even allow the Greenford shuttle to be electric too, allowing for the
possibility of through services into Paddington (or even under London);
the other three branches are, AFAIK, not likely to be electrified.
