That one would stand a lot more chance of being viable. Earby (and
close-by Barnoldswick) would generate a non-trivial volume of
passengers. Skipton is a destination in its own right, as well as
being an interchange point for Keighley, Leeds and Bradford. The line
westwards runs through considerably a more populated area than the
Clitheroe line.
It's a route I would very much like to see reopened, but I don't think
there's any chance of it happening.
