Train missing stations!

Nearly a riot tonight when the Wagn driver of the 1753 from Kings Cross
to Royston forgot to stop at two stations and ended up going to Potters
Bar (arriving somewhat early) from Finsbury Park.

The driver didn't apologise and never said anything on the PA, even
after a fair few people went along the train to get his attention
(nobody pulled the alarm). When it did stop at Potters Bar, a
significant number of people (at least 20) went to 'have words' on the
platform as we all waiting for the correct departure time to arrive.
Some of them were running, which made me look out - as I half expected
him to be dragged out of the window.

My guess is the driver thought s/he was doing the 06/36 service.
Ironically, with all the fuss at Potters Bar, he ended up leaving even
later and we got to Hatfield five minutes late! Perhaps if s/he had
done the initial greeting and announced the stations before departure,
along with the safety briefing, passengers would have spotted the
mistake in advance.

All in all, a pretty poor show - although good for anyone that wanted
to go to Potters Bar. :)
