A couple of years ago I travelled by bus from Aberystwyth to New Quay,
and a few days later from New Quay to Fishguard.
The first trip was delayed by over an hour because the police
had closed the road while they cut someone out of a car accident.
The bus cleared off and left us sat outsise a remote petrol
station.
The second involved a change at Cardigan and seemed to take forever.
I was sure glad to see that Class 37!
I'm as passionate as anyone about rail, but sometimes i think the rail
lobbyists lose sight of reality and common sense when it comes to
transport problems.
And I think the advocates of buses lose sight of the general
unpleasantness of travel by bus.
