I have some photographs for auction on ebay covering various subjects.
A quick look on goo-groups seems to confirm my impression that you
think the main purpose of uk.railway is to serve as an advertising
hoarding for sale of your railway photographs.
A slightly longer look reveals a search of 781 previous messages, of
which 627 did not include the word ebay. Which makes the above seem a
little unfair.
All I can suggest is putting [AD - EBAY] at the start of the subject
line. People wanting to buy things will see it quicker, and people not
wanting to buy things can just ignore it. I've no problem with this.
happy selling - will go and have a look just now!!

Hi AE
I put FA: at the start of the subject which I believe is the convention. I
seriously doubt I've put 200+ ads on uk.railway. Maybe I've mentioned it in
connection with something else.
Just had a look at Google groups. Searching with "FA Paul+Stevenson photos
rail" nets 60 entries in 14 months of which 13 are not me. So 47 over 14
months does not seem excessive.
Thanks for your support.
Paul
