Re: Sunday Telegraph: Airport-style security checks to be introduced at mainline rail stations

In message <8f861bc24d%rail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, at 19:50:56 on Sun, 30 Oct 2005, Graeme Wall <rail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> remarked:
And at the time there was *no* British security and passport controls,
as they relied on the French.

Rubbish, the insecurity checks are always there, its a growth industry.

Perhaps the people in charge should have sent some Brits to the terminal,
rather than assuming the French would look out for these people (as they
very clearly didn't).

More xenophic claptrap.

"The details of these people have been passed to all ports, who will watch out for them, apart from Waterloo where we sent them to the French who we didn't realise wouldn't bother".
