Len,
I gave you some advice a few months ago to 'steer clear'
I repeat that advice.
I suggest that you steer clear.
Paul,

If you seek to question the credentials of others on here you must
expect others to do the same to you. Can I similarly suggest you go and
enjoy your CW skills and stop behaving like a CW Nazi by suggesting that
it in some way makes you superior to others on here. It doesn't.

Regardless or not if you obtained you 'RAE' by dubious means your lack
of response to questions about your technical ability speaks volumes. It
was YOU that raised the question about technical competence of another
when you questioned someone's ability to tell the differences between an
811 valves and others types but you choose not to reply to my question
about your knowledge of valve types to seek if your knowledge was any
better than his.

As I have stated before in a pursuit that is of a technical nature the
ability to send a 19th code is no substitute to a sound technical grounding.

GB4FUN has proved time after time that youngsters are fascinated by
morse. It's nowt about superiority, quite the opposite since even FL's
have to demonstrate it during their examination. Multiple live two way
CW QSO's booming from the plinth would have stirred up far more
interest than some CBer/Taxi Driver chat which is what it must have
seemed like to the general public watching.

Agreed but its not the point, Paul tries (and fails)to put himself up as some way a superior radio amateur because he has an alleged Morse skill when it is questionable whether his practice abilities would past muster in the practice assessments of the intermediate exam. It is after all meant to be a technical pursuit.
