Everybody, without exception, who refers to it as a "hobby" is dodgy.

It is not a hobby. It is a whole-life technical pursuit and if we take our
eyes
off the ball for on minute, it'll land in our own goal and our
jealously-gained
privileges will be swept aside in order to accomodate the under-achievers,
two of whom already pollute this NG.
