I get an S9+ noise on 17m most week days, using a mag loop on a rotator for receive and an extended double zepp for TX. the received (wanted) signal drops an S point or two but the local noise is barely audible. Changing radios won't change the signal to noise ratio but DSP may make it more tolerable. Failing that I pick up the key and switch in the 250Hz filter and find a gap in the noise;c)
Your noise has gaps in it? Lucky sod!
