How many Freemasons are in the RSGB hierarchy ... Board and salaried
staff?
I have no exact figure Walt but it's a lot, almost to a man I'd say.
Perhaps Brian will tell us, after all they aren't a secret society,
just a society with secrets. How about it Brian?
In all honestly, I only know of 1, myself and I've never hidden my
membership- in any aspect of my life.
I've never knowing met another Mason in the RSGB staff or board, nor have I
tried to find out if there are any, so there may be some. I've met a fair
few in the wider membership and hobby. It makes no difference to me how I
would act in terms of what I think my role is. I don't go around "giving
funny handshakes", Masons rarely do- other than at Masonic events.
Also, I've always adopted a policy of being open about my membership while
respecting that other Masons may prefer to keep their membership private.
That is up to them so I won't "out" them.
And, before you start saying things like " almost to a man" be aware that a
significant proportion of the Board and staff are female. That makes your
"it's a lot" statement questionable.
