I see the Radio club are to charge £3 per person, on entry to Elvaston
Castle Rally, for the first time, this year. This , to me, is akin to
trying to charge people to enter Tesco's/Safeway/CO-OP, etc.

Once again , the great God GREED, throws his hat into the ring.
I have reminded them that the Drayton Manor Rally has gradually
declined , partially because of cost of entry, to the point where it
has been resited.

I have e-mailed the organisers, and told them why I, (& my wallet,)
will not be going for the first time a lot of years. I am sure they
will email me back, saying this is because of cost of insuring the
event, or other such bull***. It is bad enough being ripped off ,
should you be daft enough to become thirsty/hungry while at the event,
and want a 'burger, or {heaven forbid,} a hot pork & stuffing cob. I
have e-mailed all the traders I have addresses for, and told them why
my XYL & I will not be attending.

I wish ALL radio hams would boycott rallies that charged entry fees,
just for one year, whence the next year THEY would pay US, to enter the
events
