Right, lets answer Walt's very helpful posting.

I have never ever boasted that I can repair Amateur radio equipment, I said
I was willing to attempt it and will be looking for some cheap
non-working/faulty radios to practice on when I go to the next rally which
will probably be the re-located Drayton Manor one. As far as CB's go then
yes, I have repaired hundreds upon hundreds of them and have the proof too
if anyone's really interested as I kept repair dockets for work done.

You see Walt, it's not just the exam, it's the people. Part of being a group
and while I can more than likely pass the exam on one of my worst days there
may be something trivial but important that missing out on the course would
make things possibly harder to understand in the future and besides which it
will be interesting to meet fellow M3 trainee's and gain friendships off air
as well as on. Also I would probably get some good information from my tutor
about other things rather than just passing a course.

I would surmise that it's the Peterborough where you go to get your Passport
sorted. If not there's always the jolly old Royal Mail.
