Thanks
Stan
I have just started working on this rig.I dont know any history of the rig
as I bought it second hand from a boot sale. I have got the receiver working
OK Main problem was resistors that had gone high. and the Audio valve being
microphonic when the audio gain was turned up. There are no PA valves but I
have some second-hand ones coming to look at this part of the circuit. There
is a bit of burning on the PA choke but still checks for continuity.. There
are also some resistors with wound chokes over that show signs of distress
in the grid side.
I have the equivalent Operators manual and circuit diagram so it looks as
though I have the same sort of detail.. I was wondering if there was
something more for the manufacturers agent to use for servicing. I have made
some of my own diagrams to identify valve base and pins to check voltages
and resistance readings. These is not much room to make measurements under
the circuit boards.
There are 2 points I don't understand at the moment
1) the transverter output socket I guess was designed to use with a 10M
signal out from the rig
2) There are 2 extra bands that can be added they look as though they are
receive only but I have not tracked down the tuning circuits yet.
