It's amazing how news is distorted- thank you for putting me in the picture.

Being on the dole can be tediously boring, and a lot of people would enjoy doing some work for no cash payment as long as they get something else beneficial in return, which might just be a social experience. If you're at home day after day, you can end up losing confidence in going out and effectively become disabled as a result, and with it lose the chance to get back to work.

Will tell my tory-hating friends about this one- it might help relieve their paranoia.
