According to the Metro he's lived there for 25 years and can hardly
speak Spanish, according to the The Grauniard, it's 10 years. Either
way, what a twat.

Surprisingly common though in my experience here. Usually because they
hang around with fellow nationals and read newpapers and watch TV in
their own language rather than that of their hosts. I find it rather sad
as they thus miss most of what is going on around them.
