No, I've never been to India. I'm aware that you have, and never miss an
opportunity to let it be known. I bow to your superior knowledge of
Indian cattle.

I went and looked at a couple of temples in Jaipur and Hyderabad on
Google Earth. The resolution was poor and I couldn't see cows. It seems
to me the original study would come in useful at this point.
The cows tend to be small and redish in colour and would probably look
more like a big dog than a cow on Google Earth.
I've written a wheedling e-mail to the author of the study. Maybe she'll
find time to enlighten us...
Why not go and have a look for real?
I'm sure you'd find the place entertaining...
I do follow recommendations made on this group quite often - books, films,
and so on. Every account I've heard suggests it's a tremendous place, and
it's on the list...
