Notting Hill Carnival
Every year there is violence and trouble. I remember the number of
shooting and stabbing incidents last year - and the media were praising
the fact that the number of incident was down from previous years!
If such violence occurred with regularity at a biker festival or a
mediaeval carnival, the authorities would waste no time in banning it.
But then, we're not the Target Demographic, who must be appeased at all
costs.
