The creative agency (doubtless called something like 'future:affects')
will
give effusive expressions almost amounting to an apology tomorrow,
tempered
by a statement to the effect that "we were tasked with portraying
contemporary London - an exciting, vibrant metropolis. The video was edgy,
contemporary, and driven by the spirit of the capital. We feel we achieved
our brief, but obviously we regret that some viewers perceived the concept
in a light we certainly had no intentiojn of conveying".
In other words, if you don't think Myra Hindley should have been in the
video, it's your own fucking problem.
More to follow.
It's a strange but true fact that many of those in the creative
world have a morbid curiosity for serial killers.
BTW Truman Capote's In Cold Blood is worth a read.
His morbid curiosity netted him $6 million.
There's something kind of
cool in the "ultimate act of free will"- not that we approve of
the actions of these people, but they have got cult status- being
so bad they're almost back into being good again!
Possibly it's cool. I'd reckon many serial killers aren't that interesting.
As specimens they might be to a researcher...
