When I heard this announcement on the radio yesterday afternoon I was
completely gobsmacked. I don't have gas myself (except of the methane
sort) so only the lecky price rise will affect me, but 35%! Surely
THAT would bring the consumers on to the streets in protest? Nah.
Apart from a few vox pop comments, zilch, as ever.
British Gas could increase the price by 100% and no one would bat an
eyelid.
I actually had visions of Gordon Brown recalling Parliament to discuss
the energy crisis, which won't end with 35% from British Gas. But
again, not a peep.
