Pv's need very pure silicon, and it takes _a lot_ of energy to
make pure silicon: so much in fact that it's questionable
if a pv produces more energy than was used to make it.
The energy payback time quoted by Nanosolar is one month.
They don't use silicon.
You do realise that most of these organisations are just marketing
companies, selling a sales pitch.
