I suspect more R&D needs to go into batteries to bring up the range
of many vehicles. Still, leaps and bounds are being made and there's
always that optional extra: a back-up second battery!

In Europe, I believe battery cars will take off seriously when VW
start turning them out. They not only get the technology right,
but the customer appeal thing too.
