Why do we called MikeinCam..... "Uncle"

Forty years ago we also referred to Ho Chi Min as "Uncle Ho". Some
today still refer to "Uncle Sam".
A hundred years ago thousands of impoverished English people made an
almost weekly trip to "uncle", to pawn a suit or watch.
Don't get your knickers in a twist, and above all don't form emotional
bonds with or against national leaders of any stripe. It's all hokum,
instils an unhealthy dependence on father figures, and may even cause
you to post thousands of newsgroup messages.
And switch to decaf today.
