The report quotes physicist Freeman J. Dyson about relying on computer
modeling to predict climate change: "'The models ... do a very good

chemistry and the biology of fields and farms and forests. They do not

for a scientist to sit in an air-conditioned building and run computer

just as it is easy to run some esoteric formulae

it is the empirical results that must rule.....
not some theoretical formulae

no serious worker doesn't realise the 'greenhouse effect' is
only an analogy....

meanwhile venus is still as hot as mercury.....

Hotter actually (surface temperature), but atmospheric pressure is
greater on Venus (equivalent to 1km deep on the ocean on earth), and
the clouds are dense and full of sulphuric acid.

perhaps we should send some of the denialists there...

i think it was rab butler's father who is reported as getting incensed
by a barometer that kept reading fine when it was raining
buckets...
eventually getting sufficient pissed off.....he ripped the barometer
from the wall...and chucked it through the (closed) window....
shouting 'go out and look for yourself you bloody fool'
