Interesting to note the Queen is concerned that the outlawing of fox
hunting has 'divided the nation'.

It was an act of spite not for welfare, and the Queen is 81, she has earned
the right to be as out of touch as she wants. And, if you consider being 'in
touch', then leave her and me out, 'in touch' often means lacking the length
and depth of knowledge to recognise a fad for what it is.

I would fully support the Tories' repealing this law! I would do so in
order to restore some balance to the country (not countryside, I mean
THE country).

But this is a very curious thing for me to say, because I am adamantly
opposed to fox hunting with hounds.

However, I have changed tack purely because of the way authoritarian
New Labour has taken away so many of our civil liberties and is
continually threatening to take away even more (e.g. stop and
question, minor offenders such as litter louts having their DNA stored
etc).

So, despite the fact that I am STILL adamantly opposed to foxhunting
with hounds, I'm afraid the poor lickle foxes are just going to have
to die, because I believe British freedom is more important than a few
foxes. We owe it to past generations who died like foxes, ripped to
shreds with foreign bullets.

Therefore, I fully support the Countryside Alliance. More power to
their elbows. They ought to seek more support from people like me.
Maybe they'll have another protest in Whitehall and come equipped with
crash helmets next time.

Foxes are less important than preventing a totalitarian state which is
happening oh so softly-softly that most people don't notice.
