Let me just add, in case you really are ignorant of the fact (and its
not one of your supposedly clever subterfuges) that the reason people in
this country have the welfare state is most certainly NOT because of
capitalist preferences, the reason the welfare state exists is because of
Christian and Socialist activists. (the same with the abolition of the
slave trade, you will find capitalists most vehemently opposed to
abolition)
Capitalists have always had the lowest regard for the worker and wanted to
pay the least possible and take the least possible care over their
employees welfare.
So don't come round here trying to say its all because we live in a
capitalist country we have it "so good".
