I wonder if this is because of its (sic) role in slavery.
The Cutty Sark was a tea clipper but it was used to
host some kind of anti-slavery event and I saw a comment
on the Beeb webhole protesting about people lamenting
a relic of the slave trade. Also people are protesting
that there is slavery in the UK today.
But nothing stating that the Cutty Sark was a slave ship.
But then we're back at people not knowing anything about history again...
As a general rule 'the left' knows its history, but refuses to learn from
it.
'The right' tends to run on folklore that changes depending on
circumstances.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.
