both big brother christopher and little brother peter claim
they are no longer socialists....

meanwhile both cling to the tatters of that dire mindless
cult....

big brother still clings to the mindless atheism.....
while little brother clings to the mindless
authoritarianism....

unfortunately little brother seems to get the worst of the
poor deal
as he tries to defend the dictatorial iranian
mullocracy against
the far more advanced guided secular democracy of
turkey....

while big brother just cannot make an argument without
introducing
some sort of shallow untutored anti-clericalism almost
as
thoughtless as that of dorkins.....

thus neither have really surmounted the
'godless'/collectivist
mind poison into which they were both likely
conditioned.....
You not an atheist? What a funny chap!

atheism is dogmatism.....
You an agnostic then? Is disbelief in Father Christmas dogmatism
in
your eyes?

i have yet to meet 'father christmas'
i have yet to hear a satisfactory definition of 'god'

I asked if you were an agnostic. I have yet to meet God I think.
Might
one not be an atheist going by every unsatisfactory definiton of God
that one has yet heard?

i am unable to guess in advance which definitions of 'god'
you mean by 'unsatisfactory definitions'

Every definition you have ever heard is unsatisfactory to you
apparently.

then i am miscommunicating.....

some definitions are perfectly satisfactory to me....
but usually they are individually idiosyncratic....

You did say you had "yet to hear a satisfactory definition of 'god'
" . So you have retracted that.

1)when people use the word 'god' i have a long time habit of
questioning
them in detail to work out what they mean....
very often they don't know....in fact they get into a soliptic muddle.
which i then bring to their attention....
for reason not quite clear, this often inclines them to get
unusually angry....

2)others eventually decide they mean sommat like 'the flowers are
pretty'....at which point i tend to ask them why they didn't say
that instead half-an-hour ago....
that lot usually look sheepish...

3)then there are the more intellectually sophisticated who take up
various forms of pantheism....
and use the term 'god' as a form of shorthand....
these give me little concern....

4)the most 'advanced' tend to the view that man is too undeveloped
to be able to say much about 'god' of great moment or significance
they tend to the view that the world is vastly complex and wondrous
beyond human understanding....

Is that so much better than 'the flowers are pretty'?

and that making pronouncements on the nature of 'god' varies between
fatuity and arrogance.....
i'll find myself in reasonable accord with such views...

Is that agnosticism?.You must agree that the world 'god' here must
have some meaning, or the stated view itself would be pretty
senseless.

and not be much troubled by even 2 or 3.....

So we might take any of them.

you have the floor....or even the ceiling..

But you've changed the question.

Abelard is the classic Usenet troll. Abelardy (real name Fennel Z. Aurora)
will pull you into a conversation and then when he has you involved or
starts losing points in the debate he will change the subject.

Go to Google Groups and search "abelard" and then check out his Google
profile. He's been rated by many as a real troll. His meager two Google
stars proves the point that he is a half wit. You'll waste your time in
dialogue with this idiot. His main goal in life is to find the village
he's lost.

You've been warned.

This is Fraudelards's typical MO - he loses, or is caught lying or being
incredibly stupid in a certain thread, in this case it was the thread
entitled "hitchens and the mail try romanticising iran....then there's
reality.....abdul's pp 'judgement.....", so starts another on the same
topic. I suppose he thinks it "covers his tracks", or something .... LOL !-

Poor litle abie, he'll do anything to get someone to talk to him.
He starts threads on anything, the stupider the better, He
once started a thread with "Bob Hope is Dead" and then
followed it with the usual overlong, misquoted daft what
passes for a sig. Not to forget his memorable "U.S. bike
rider wins the Grand Prix" or something equally daft.
He must think that no-one reads the newspapers oops, I mean
"The Fossil Press".

For God's sake don't tell the cretin that the Hitchens are jewboys
and that they were raised in a commie home (what else)
or he'll go completely beserk.

BTW, Who is "abdul"? The idiot keeps calling you that.
He's got daft names for everybody. He's a ham sandwich
short of a picnic and getting worse. He should stick to bra knitting
and basket weaving.
