What scum and hypocrites you people are! Thatcher brought Britain back
from the dead - for a few years before Major and Blair managed to put
the country back on its' downward path. She did her best and was by
far the best Prime Minister since WWII. How you can jump for joy when
she does die is beyond me. Nearly everybody has benefited from her
policies - and that includes you lot!

There were five million plus their families who did not.
Hanging her and her fellow gangsters from lamp posts while they were
still alive then throwing turds at them would be too good for them.

Now FOAD you drooling idiot.

What exactly did she do that was so bad? Put an end to those
wonderful communities in the industrial north?

I live in the North.
Thousands of jobs vanished.
Thousands of people just upped sticks and left to the extent this area
still has a lower population than it did in 1980.
Houses were being repossessed daily
My children left school in the mid 80s with no prospects of work and
no places in further education because the colleges were full up.
My brother and cousin were made redundant in their 50s when the mines
were shut. Neither of them worked again and both were dead within a
couple of years through the stress of being unemployed.

I hope the bitch rots with cancer along with all her supporters.

Obstructed the march of
socialism?I didn't like her at the time, but her policies benefited me
materially in several respects. That is without question. She had no
plans to institute id cards as far as I recall.

She abolished the truck act and forced employees into using banks then
introduced money laundering laws that forced you to prove your
identity in order to open an account. She introduced the poll tax in
an attempt to get every adult registered. She banned the right we had
for hundreds of years to travel freely throughout the country. Gave
the police powers to ban gatherings of more than 3 people.
If you want a blow by blow account I suggest a start with 'Freedom
under Thatcher' by KD Ewing,CA Gearty. Available in your local library
or from Amazon. or Peter Thornton's Decade of Decline: Civil
Liberties in the Thatcher Years.

Her police were a bit
rough, but our basic liberties are far more under threat from this
lot, however it seemed at the time.

She and her gangster friends led the way. They showed this lot just
what it was possible to get away with. They were/are evil incarnate.
