Re: why i continue to remain highly suspicious of reports of alleged attack on israeli ship.....

Didn't last long though.
Why people can't just post their, News/ Message/Opinion/Idea and just leave
it.

A farmer doesn't plant a potato plant, and then dig it up, 5 minutes later
to see how it is getting on.
He leaves it.
Leaves it in the knowledge that all things being well, it will grow to
fruition.
There might be the odd weavle that wants a bite.
Those types would be better off growing their own potatoes.
If they have a mind for it.

I wish I knew exactly, the exact details of what is going on out there.
If I did, I would post them to this particular tread.
As in most things, we have what other people say to be the truth of the
matter.
And what we, suspect to be the case.
Whether it is or not, we sometimes can't tell.
Until later on, when events reveil other things.

Yes it is great to post facts.
We feel we are contributing to the sum total.
Sometimes though, what we "suspect" to be the truth of what is going on,
(Even before, looking at the "Facts") is far more accurate than the reported
"Facts"(and its sebsequent investigation and conclusion) themselves.

"the Israelis are deliberately fabricating
stories to justify bombing Iran/Syria."

That is exactly what is happening.
Justifing an attack on Iran by alledging Iranian supply of missiles to
Hezbollah.
Good old Hezbollah.
Of cause that may well be the Truth of it.
The Israelies and America are most certainly spinning stories to justify
to World public opinion an attack on Iran. Or at the very least, Syria.
It is all gearing up towards Israel bombing Iran's Nuclear sites.
Though, we will have to see.
Isn't All this thrilling.
Though those suffering in it all, don't see it that way.
The Americans next door in Iraq, and come to that, Afghanistan, are well
placed to aid and assist the Israelie effort against Syria and/or Iran.

The Americans have put all this through exhaustive "War planning" at the
Pentagon.
Played out this, and other similar scenarios, hundreds of times.
Until, the actual similar "Moves" are played out by their "Opponents" in
real life.
As we are seeing now.
I bet the Americans are already calling the current situation in the
Middle East the "********** scenario". Whatever code name they have for
it.
To the Americans, they see it more of a chess game.
Israel being one of their major pieces.
Britain being another.
PLAYING games with peoples lives.
That is what these "World leaders" are doing.
The Lebanese and Gaza strip types are barely pawns, more like pawns of
pawns.

I have to say:
IT IS REFRESHING, FOR ONCE IN A WHILE ON THIS NEWSGROUP, TO COME ACROSS A
POST, AND SUBSEQUENT REPLIES, THAT DOESN'T DIVERSIFY INTO "SPARING
MATCHES" BETWEEN PEOPLE AND THEIR EGO'S.

This particular post and its treads have been quite informative, as what
http://www.debka.com/ may well turn out to be.
Though what slant they have, if any, I'll soon find out.

WHEN, this newsgroup and others like it are used more like a NEWSPAPER
than a CHATROOM.
Newsgroup rather than chatgroup.
Then people can make up their OWN mind, rather than HAVE it made up for
them.

Public opinion IS important.
What people think IS important.
Especially to "The World Powers and their leaders"
Getting our hands on "The Truth" as and when it happens is important.
All the newsgroup "personality arguments" ever seen to do, is get in the
way of this, to most, a common held goal.
Debasing it all down to muck.
Far better, however much of an irritation, is to not get involved, leave
it alone and move on.
Posting another post about, "what is going on"

"Public opinion IS important". though I do not care a great deal for it
myself, (unlike these "World Leader types".)
People will come to me saying "But what about Public opinion".
I will mearly move my gase upon them, inviting them to dine on the
banquet of,
"No public, no public opinion!".

Much of the commentary esp from your Israeli friends etc is possibly
pap and lies, they're like that. But I don't think there's much doubt
that an Israeli ship was hit and damaged. ISTR one of the TV News
channels showed some footage of it smoking from a distance.

But hit by what? by who? how many injured? Take your pick.

Either the story is true or the Israelis are deliberately fabricating
stories to justify bombing Iran/Syria.
