"Is ill-mannered Murray just typical of Scots' loathing of England?"
Is the title to Leo McKinstry's piece in the Daily Express.
He goes on to tell us that this yoof, while promising,
is also a pro scot bigoted little brat. That he is out
of touch with the gentleman's game and that he should
show some respect to those who advanced his career.
----
"Scot Murray has proved to be a petulant, often
miserable youth, indulging in foul mouthed tantrums
on the court and anti-English diatribes off it...
backlash... T-shirts have appeared at Wimbledon with
the slogan 'Anyone But Murray' while his website has
been deluged with angry comments. "I hope you get stuffed."
Jack McConnell, Scotland's First Minister, mirror Murray's line...
And should the English fight back... outrage about xenophobia.
From their First Minster downwards they want it both ways...
loathing of England... happy to take heavy English subsidies...
Andy Murray is a microcosm... gross hypocrisy of some scots...
PG Wodehouse once wrote:
"It has never been hard to tell the difference between a
scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine...
If he goes on adopting a scorched earth policy to all things
English, he will end up as nothing more than a rebel without
applause - or trophies."
----
An interesting article by Leo pointing out Murray's flaws.
But I'm not really down with this lets all hold hands lark.
Lets have our sportsmen play under their own countries flags.
