Attacks on a Surrey church and mosque in which stone-throwing vandals
smashed windows are being linked by police.
Members of Earlswood Road mosque in Redhill, who were praying when
windows were broken using a catapult, were covered with glass but not
injured.
Christ the King Church in Honeycrock Lane was empty when stones were
hurled, it is thought from the car park.
The attacks, on two separate nights last week, caused £2,300 damage.
"We are linking these two incidents and are working closely with the
church and mosque to identify the offenders, said East Surrey hate
crime co-ordinator Pc Nolan Heather.
